The Cowboys are the hot team in the NFC. They just beat division rival Philadelphia and took first place in the NFC East. After the Packers’ loss to the hapless Buccaneers, it would seem like a hopeless game for Green Bay, but that is just not true.

Romo Crying
The Packers know this is a make or break game for them, and they are most likely to come out and play like it. One of the best pieces of off-the-field news came out yesterday. It turns out that on Monday, the Packers offense came together and had an open and candid discussion about their subpar performances. They made a renewed commitment to each other and to win.
I am looking for the Packers offense to come out of that tunnel hot. Almost every game this season, they have opened the game cold. If they can come out and put some touchdowns on the board early, it will make this a very interesting game. If the Packers get ahead early, it puts the game in the hands of Tony Romo.
Jerry Jones believes Romo will bring home a Lombardi trophy for the Dallas Cowboys, but so far has been unsuccessful. Romo runs hot and cold, some days he throws with surgical precision and will dissect a defense. Other times he is just awful. He will put the ball up, he will miss all his throws and over all, will just play terribly. Which Romo will show up remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, if the Packers can put pressure on Romo, the “bad” Romo may be under center. I am hoping that Capers is as aware of this as the rest of the football world and brings lumber.
Another blessing for the NFC is having Wade Phillips as a coach. I have never read or seen anything really positive about Phillips. While he is not an outright bad coach like a Mangini, he tends to build his team up and bring them back down just as fast. One coach that coached with Phillips said “Wade can get a little bit full of himself when things go good and he kind of passes that on to the team.” I am hoping that the Cowboys come in over confident and give room for the Packers to surprise them.
The biggest threat that Dallas provides is their pass rush. DeMarcus Ware presents a huge threat to Aaron Rodgers. If they can contain him, I think that Rodgers will be able slowly pick the Cowboys apart. Right now the Cowboys are the better team, but I think the Packers can definitely steal a win here. Go Pack Go!
